This Could Be The Answer, This May Be A Nightmare
This Could Be The Answer, This May Be A Nightmare is an audiovisual installation exploring the intersection of sound, light, and sculpture. The work creates an ethereal, dream-like environment in which the subconscious materializes in tangible form. Through an interplay of sound and light, the installation immerses audiences in a space where perception is fluid, time dissolves, and memory wanders between preservation and distortion. Sound plays a crucial role in shaping the connective quality of the installation.
The soundscape consists of manipulated field and guitar recordings and subtle rhythmic pulses designed to guide the audience through different layers of consciousness. Echoing textures and shifting sonic spaces blur the boundary between reality and dream, deepening the experience of the piece as a liminal, subconscious realm.
The work explores the potential of digital music and soundscape as spatial and sculptural phenomena, extending beyond mere auditory perception into an encompassing physical experience.

At the core of the installation are my sculptural works Vessels, a series of dystopian, rigid structures made from steel, glass, textile, impregnated flowers, and coal. These objects serve as symbolic containers for memory—hardened attempts at preservation that border on the brutal, reflecting the tension between permanence and transience. Suspended above and intertwining with the sculptures is a modular LED system, consisting of 4x18 LED strips capable of playing video files through coded programming.
