Reception

Emerging from my time at the Slade School of Fine Art, this work explores the shifting nature of materials, suspended between preservation and decay. At its center stands a reception table, an object of formality and exchange, now caught in a slow, speculative transformation. Its steel structure, partially encased in salt dough, resembles an artifact retrieved from the deep, encrusted with coral-like formations, as if reclaimed by time and tide. Beside it, an abstract painting hangs—a trace, perhaps the last remaining document of a space that once was. Nearby, another encased object holds memory in suspension, materialized as a fossil.
